Money Matters for Small Business

The Business Development Unit of the TAFE School of Business, with in Swinburne University of Technology, has been developing the Money Matters for Small Business program for a period of twelve months. This is a radical new approach to delivery of training, to small business operators/managers in the financial management of their business.

The "Money Matters for Small Business" program will assist small business operators/managers to develop practical financial management skills for growing their business. Operators/managers will have access to online, interactive learning resources, discussion forums, mentor support delivered through business networks including regional and rural areas.

The package will include practical online, learning features:

  • Knowledge services eg fact sheets, news bulletins & online access to learning modules;
  • Interactive discussion board, and access to other support materials and events;
  • Links to other knowledge resources & expertise, including options to use the learning experience as  part of an evidence portfolio for accreditation through Swinburne;
    • Online networking & special interest groups;
    • Mentor support;
    • Member communication;
  • With access to the internet, small business operators/managers can develop practical financial management skills just for their business - ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.
  • This innovative learning system is being developed by Swinburne University and is funded by AusIndustry’s – Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business Program.
